Virender Sehwag Requests Modi To Name A Special Train Or Plane After Dipa Karmakar And Lalita Babar

Indian athletes in Rio Olympics have set new benchmarks for our sporting community - especially for the aspirants who dream of participating in the coveted world games one day.

Two names that will forever shine on in Olympics history include those of Dipa Karmakar and Lalita Babar. While Dipa finished fourth in women's vault gymnastics finals, Babar was placed tenth in women's 3000m steeplechase.

And to honour these Indian Olympians, cricketer Virender Sehwag came up with a solid suggestion that will only encourage our nation's youth to choose sports as a career.
On India's 70th independence day, Sehwag requested PM Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to have a special plane or train named after the two sportswomen, who made India prouder than she was before.
Being a sportsperson himself, trust Sehwag to know the importance of rewarding athletes for their relentless pursuit of a medal. And rewarding the two by having a landmark in their name is definitely a step in the right direction.
