From Being Termed ‘Ugliest’ Girl to Breaking Stereotypes; This is India’s Iron Woman!

One of India’s strongest bodybuilders and the ‘Iron Lady’, Yashmeen Manak made the country proud yet again by winning the Bronze medal in the Miss Asia Bodybuilding competition. Manak was also crowned as Miss India 2016 held by the Indian Bodybuilding Federation in the month of March this year.
The 36-year-old’s journey as India’s leading bodybuilder started off as a mere mishap. A wrong dosage of medicines in childhood lead to Yashmeen entirely changing her physical appearance as she not just lost enormous amounts of weight, but her facial beauty seemed to fade away as well.
Disheartened by being termed ugly, Yashmeen decided to change her fate by working on her physique to regain her lost beauty instead. Soon, she began to hit the gym on a regular basis and before you knew it, Yashmeen’s interests inclined towards bodybuilding.
Having undergone several certified training courses over the years, Yashmeen soon participated in various bodybuilding competitions around the country. Today, she’s not just an ace bodybuilder, but also runs her own fitness centre where she trains over 300 people, including men.
